From Toronto, GO trains and the road run round the lake to Niagara Falls, where Niagara Parks looks after the Canadian side of the falls, the gorge and the Niagara Parkway.

The falls

Niagara Parks runs Journey Behind the Falls, the Niagara Parks Power Station with its tunnel to the river, the Butterfly Conservatory and guided walks along the gorge (Niagara Parks).

The boat

Niagara City Cruises is, in its words, Canada’s official and only Niagara Falls boat tour, sailing close to the mist of the American and Horseshoe Falls.

Our advice: in summer, take the boat first thing; in winter, the frozen mist is a sight of its own.
